BMW 318i 1995

My BMW 318i 1995 starts fine cold... but as it warms up (near the top of the "blue" zone it starts to act up...it will almost stall even when driving...and I have to declutch and gun the engine to keep it going...once its out of the cold zone..it seems to be better...but even then it'll act up once in a while.
I am beginning to suspect the coolant temperature sensor. But I have been told it could be a number of things...it has been running better lately now the weather is warmer.

Help!!!!

Yes, it could be any number of things. Probably not your coolant temp sensor. It is used by the computer to make some minor changes in the fuel delivery but if it were not working right it would cause the SES light. Best place to start is making sure all the filters are fresh. Then an inspection of the intake for carbon/oil buildup. You may have an injector sticking. I allways recommend a tune up first and then you can start to look at specific components/systems.
It only gets better!!
