check engine light

Postby b4ucame57 on Sun Apr 12, 2009 10:36 am

I have a check engine lite on. Code states low fuel pressure in left bank. I have checked plug, wire, fuel pressure, and checked for vacuum leaks. any ideas?

Check for fuel filter going bad (clogged) I have ran into this on two different cars (customer's) and a new fuel filter cleared the problem.
It only gets better!!

Have you checked the fuel pressure at the fuel rail? there should be a schrader valve (like a tire) on the fuel rail for you to hook up a gauge. I believe you should have between 45-60 PSI. I am not sure the model and yr. your working on but it may have a fuel pressure regulator also, on the fuel rail where the fuel line enters. And did you clear the code after the fuel filter change?
