Depends on how the original was held in place. Some Chevrolet models were riveted in place and all you had to do was drill out the rivets and use the bolts/nuts supplied with the new joint. Some are pressed in ( the more common way) and you need a ball joint service set. If you buy the parts at most major parts stores the service set can be rented, and some (autozone) just require a refundable deposit so it's free. I have a full set since I work on cars..
